TechComm, Inc is an independent third party Commissioning Authority certified by the Associated Air Balance Council Commissioning Group (ACG). ACG has established a stringent certification program to ensure its member posses the requisite skills and expertise necessary to provide quality commissioning services. TechComm is also a member of the Building Commissioning Association (BCA) and the US Green Building Council (USGBC).
Being a member of two of the nation’s leading commissioning associations (BCA, USGBC), all commissioning activities are done in accordance with association guidelines and attributes.
TechComm, Inc. has been providing Commissioning Services since 2007 and has successfully commissioned numerous new and existing buildings of varying size and scope. We worked with a variety of clients, including the Army Corps of Engineers, Universities, Private Owners, Utility Companies, Hospitals, K-12 Schools, Design Builders, AE firms, etc. TechComm’s president and founder, Mr. Thomas Clendenen, is a certified “Commissioning Authority” (CxA) and a certified “Energy Management Professional” (EMP) with over 30 years of experience in the HVAC industry; 25 of those years were in the specialized field of Testing and Balancing. Tom is also a LEED Accredited Professional (LEED-AP) and has an intimate working knowledge of the LEED process.

As president and founder of TechComm, Inc., Tom has a hands-on role with each and every project and oversees all commissioning activities. TechComm possess a vast amount of practical knowledge pertaining to the testing, analyzing, and reporting of system performance. We are well versed in all aspects of the construction and turnover process and specialize in mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems. We strive to identify and implement the needs of the owner, improve communication through all trades, identify issues early to maximize impact at the lowest cost, and ensure that building’s systems are operating as intended.
